What started as a dream in 2015 has blossomed into New Orleans' favorite spot for fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine. Our founders, Maria and Carlos Rodriguez, immigrated from Guadalajara with family recipes passed down through generations and a burning desire to share the true taste of Mexico.

Maria and Carlos Rodriguez arrive in New Orleans with family recipes and a vision to share authentic Mexican flavors with their new community.
Grand Opening
Costa Vida officially opens its doors on Bienville Street, serving 50 customers on the first day with handmade tortillas and fresh salsas.
Community Favorite
Named "Best Mexican Restaurant" by New Orleans Food & Wine Magazine, with over 200 five-star reviews and a loyal customer base.
Adapting & Growing
Successfully launched takeout and delivery services during challenging times, maintaining quality while serving the community safely.
